The event page
Open an event from the Events list to see everything about it. The header shows the title,
with the type and External ID underneath (for example INCIDENT - SAFE-12).
Status and assignee
Section titled “Status and assignee”In the Actions box on the right:
- Status: choose the event’s status. Your organization sets up the statuses in Settings → Statuses; each belongs to a group such as New, In Progress, Complete, On Hold or Cancelled. To close an event, move it to a Complete status.
- Assignee: the person responsible for the event. Admins can change it.
When an event is assigned to someone, they get a notification in their Inbox and start following the event.
Details
Section titled “Details”The Details box shows the Location, Event date, Report date, Reported by, any Metric Data, and Additional Information: the extra details recorded with the event.
To change any of these, admins use Actions → Edit Event at the top of the page. Actions → View History shows every change made to the event and who made it.
Media Attachments
Section titled “Media Attachments”Photos and files attached to the event. Select one to view or download it. Admins can add more with Add media.
Metrics
Section titled “Metrics”Metrics are the measures your organization records on every event, such as severity or risk. You define them in Settings → Metrics. Safety Radar fills them in from the event’s details, and your team confirms or corrects them.
Each metric shows its value, and whether it’s Reviewed or Review required. Turn on Show reviewable only to see just the ones that need a person to check them.
Review metrics
Section titled “Review metrics”- Select Review on a metric.
- If the value is right, select Approve.
- If it’s wrong, select Reject and give a Reason. Members propose the correct value; admins use Reject/Fix to set the correct value directly.
The Review page in the sidebar is a queue of all events with metrics to check. Filter it by date, assignee, location or metric, open an event, and work through it with Approve All and Next Event.
Action Items
Section titled “Action Items”Follow-up tasks linked to this event, with their status, priority, assignee and due date. Create one from Actions → Create Action Item. See Action items.
Linked Items
Section titled “Linked Items”Other records connected to this event: related events, the form submission that created it, and workflow runs. To link another event, select Add Linked Item. Form submissions and workflow runs are linked automatically.
Activity & Comments
Section titled “Activity & Comments”A timeline of every change to the event, with your team’s comments.
- Type in Add a comment… and select Comment. Use Attach file to add a file.
- @mention someone to bring them in. They start following the event.
- People following an event (the assignee, anyone mentioned) get an Inbox notification for new comments and status changes.
Other actions
Section titled “Other actions”The Actions menu at the top of the page also has Download PDF, Download Word, Run Workflow and, if your organization has the Investigations module, Create Investigation. Which actions you see depends on your role and your organization’s modules.
